Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid To Sales by 2011 Details

Recent news reveals that Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid will come to sale by 2011.Toyota officially unveiled The plug-in hybrid version of its popular Prius at the recent LA Auto Show.Now Toyota's Executive Vice President Takeshi Uchiyamad officially announced that the new Prius Plug-In Hybrid will be made available to the consumers by 2011.

You may be surprised by Toyota takes too long to the introduction of Prius Plug-In Hybrid to public.The reason is that they are going to deliver 600 Prius plug-in hybrids to government agencies, corporations, universities and research agencies before made the new Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid available to public.Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid comes with lithium-ion battery which is Toyota's first Hybrid to use such stronger battery.Toyota also confirmed that the new Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid can travel up to 13 miles with battery power alone and can reach a speed of 60 mph using the electric motor.
